Flightdeck-UI Whitepaper

This document (read online) describes the rationale, goals, architecture and future direction of the project. The whitepaper is in SGML DocBook 4.1 format: the derived HTML and PDF versions are provided for convenience. Although this document has not been updated to refer to the latest releases, it is still largely applicable to them.

This whitepaper does not refer to the latest Flightdeck-UI releases, but the discussion is very much applicable to these releases (which actually implement a number of features proposed in the whitepaper).
